Happy New Year!

2015 has been a good year, maybe not my most exciting year so far but a nice one for sure. I do have a feeling 2016 will be a even greater one though and how could it not when the first month will hold both my 30th birthday party and a two weeks trip to Cambodia?

Tonight I'm going to celebrate the new year with P and some friends. First off is a dinner, last minute changed to our place, and then a big house party in the south of London. Happy new year!

2015: October, November and December

October was full of parties apparently? And full of my ceramics course. Apart from that nothing much happened. But parties and ceramics are all you need to make a good month if you ask me.

In November I was so sad that my ceramics course had ended I decided to start painting and even set up my own little studio space at home. Other then that P:s mum and brother visited us for a cold and windy weekend. Plus Hackney Attic celebrated 6 months!

Already December and very soon 2016! I can't believe how fast this year has passed, guess I really am getting old. In December me and P visited Warner Bros Studio's Harry Potter tour and I made a quick visit to Sweden just before P:s birthday and Christmas, which we spent at home in Hackney doing nothing but eating, sleeping and prevent Lola from tearing down the Christmas tree.

2015: August and September

August was probably the best month of the year cause it was summer and I was off work. Me and P spent half of the month in Sweden, traveling around to see friends and family. We started off in Stockholm where we stayed with our friends in the house on Stora Essingen, having bbqs and swims. We also met up with P:s family. Then we went to Gothenburg where we stayed with my sister and then parents, eating a lot and going for day trips by car and boat. Back in London summer continued and we had breakfast on the roof. Plus we took care of Lola for the very first time. Look how tiny she was!

September was back to the everyday routine, back to school and work. One day we took Lola to Hampstead Heath but it started pouring, hence P had to carry her inside his jacket cause she was so miserable. We also had dinner at Maeve's and a lot of different visitors like my friend Per, our friends Juan and Amanda and my sister and mum.

2015: May, June and July

I started this blog on May 29th so I didn’t have time to do that much blogging in May but I did post some photos from our trip to Cannes, a post about my favorite London spot (Hampstead Heath) and made and ate a really nice Mushroom burger.

In June we moved in to the Hackney flat, I bought a tattoo machine and Peter had his very first live gig, but not before we had tacos one last time in our old flat in Brixton. I also did my first monthly playlist, but I spent most of the time bargain hunting and decorating our new baby: the Hackney attic.

Look at the tree outside our kitchen window at this picture from July! At the moment it’s just a grey skeleton of branches. Over all July was the month of summer. I was in Berlin to visit my friend Hannah and at the end of the month me and P went to Sweden for a two week vacay. We also tore out the old carpet in the kitchen and had pad thai for dinner.

Merry Christmas from Hackney!

Today was Swedish Christmas! Me, P and Lola have spent the day eating loads and loads of Swedish Christmas food, taking walks, skyping with family back home and unwrapping gifts. Please notice Lola's little face in P:s hand :)

Merry Christmas <3

A Pizza birthday and cocktails with a view

Today started with me waking up this qt one with pizza breakfast in bed, cause it was (still is!) his birthday! I also got him this t-shirt with a stupid pizza/dj print. Perfect since his nickname's Pizza ever since a girl at a party thought that was his name.

After the pizza breakfast we accidentally fell asleep again and woke up two hours later. But who cares, we both had the day off so we decided to have a second breakfast and to decorate our tree.

Done! Small and sort of weird shaped, but hey, be kind.

Then we got dressed and not just our normal uniforms of hoodies and sneakers but nice pants and proper shoes and coats. We had a mission that required a dresscode. First we had dumplings and springrolls at Drunken Monkey, then...

We took the bus to London bridge and The Shard! Europe's tallest building and the same one we tried to enter a couple of weeks ago but were denied to because of Adidas sneakers and Dr Martens. I know, silly.

The view was as nice as the cocktails were expensive, but birthdays do require celebration.

Bella's place

Today I woke up in my sisters new flat in Gothenburg. Here she lives with the cat Love (not as in love, but as in the Swedish name Love) and since she's a biology student and very interested in environmental questions and ecology she's decorated the flat with vintage furniture, green plants and flea market finds.

The kitchen even holds a tiny greenhouse.

All organic breakfast with Swedish bread flavored with wort, Christmas cheese, home made saffron buns, organic eggs and coffee.

On the fridge she had this poster saying "5 Important groceries to change to organic".

Early yesterday morning I flew to Gothenburg to visit my family for a couple of days and to attend to my grand fathers funeral. This is my beautiful sister and amazing mum. <3

Here's my greatest vintage finds of the year. The Jackson Pollock silk scarf, the leather coat and the marble egg cups.

My Superstars, my black leather pants and the coffee table. Every item for under £20!

When I visited Hogwarts

If you’re not a Harry Potter fan I advice you to stop reading now and scroll very fast to the bottom of this post. If you are, you’re in for a treat. Yesterday me and P took the train to Watford and since we were early and the weather was like a Swedish summer night we decided to take a walk. 45 minutes later we arrived at the Warner bros studios all sweaty.

The Harry Potter studio tour wasn’t a tour but more like a three hour walk through everything related to the Harry Potter movies; props, special effects, artworks, set designs, clothes, architectural models, stunts, visual effects etcetera forever. It was amazing to see all the work behind the scenes and how everything from every wand to every wig to every book, mask and piece of clothing was beautifully hand made.

Everything was literally amazing except for the food which was like the worst food I’ve ever had; cold microwaved chickpea burger with a slice of cold halloumi cheese on top. I even went back to complain (which I almost never dare to do) but all I got was a new equally cold and soggy burger. That was soon forgotten though cause I nor anyone else was there for the food but for this:
