Details

We've moved! Here's some details from the new flat, I'm saving the big picture for later when we're more settled. It feels great to actually have several rooms, not just one. The neighborhood seems great too, there's a super cozy pub with a garden just one block down. And as you can see my chili plant likes it's new window and started to bloom today.

Paperpals

Paperpals is a blog and a project I do together with my friend Hannah Gustafsson. It's in Swedish, but since it's all about creativity I think you can enjoy it even though you don't know the language. Our idea is to send a blank piece of paper to different creative people and let them do what they want with it. Then they'll send it back to us and we publish it online. Visit Paperpals here.

Wishes • Bathroom

These rattan hooks from Ikea

New towels and a matching bath mat. White and fluffy, or like this one, waffled. From H&M Home.

A new scented candle, I love the & Other Stories ones cause even though they aren't cheap they're the only ones I've found that aren't stupidly expensive. And they still smell great.

Same thing with soaps, I can't really understand how people can pay so much money for things that doesn't really last that long. This one for £4 goes with my hand cream in the same scent. From & Other Stories

I would love to wear this or something similar at lazy mornings. From Beyond Retro.

Summer plans

I will be working most of the summer, but there’s some fun things coming up. First up is the move which has already begun in terms of packing. On Wednesday we’ll get the keys and I’ll move all my plants (I don’t trust the removal guys to take care of them). On Thursday all our stuff will be moved and on Sunday our old flat has to be clean and inspected. It feels a bit stressful but so much fun at the same time. The rest of June will hopefully be peaceful, sunny and warm. I’m looking forward to exploring Hackney and parts of east London that I haven’t seen yet.

In July I’m visiting my friend Hannah in Berlin for a couple of days, which I’m super excited about. Berlin is definitely one of my favorite cities, if it wasn’t for the german language which I can’t speak I would love to live there again. I tried it for half a year a couple of years ago and it was wonderful, but it's hard living somewhere where you don't speak the language.

I’ll be off work in late July to mid August and then we’ll hopefully visit Sweden, some days in Stockholm and some in Gothenburg to see friends and family.

Gendered Sculptures

Last semester I took a course in photography called Photography, interpretation and the creative process. It was a distance course at Valand Academy of Arts in Gothenburg so I could take it while I was here in London. Most of it was self-studies and each student ment to make hers or his own individual photographic project. Mine was a study in how gender affects the public space. You can see the whole project here.

The Tattoo Machine

The last couple of days my friend Emma's been visiting and we bought a tattoo machine(!). Since neither of us have any experience it took a couple of youtube videos to figure it out, but we did it. This is the bottom of Emma's foot after my very first pieces of tattoo art (the smiley isn't by me).

24 hours later we did two more; GIRL POWER & CAT POWER.

Centaur

Last night my boyfriend played his very first live gig as his new solo project Centaur.

Playlist • June 2015

Here's what I'm listening to at the moment. June 2015.

Nostalgia

Last week I felt nostalgic and missed all my friends back in Sweden, so I ordered a whole bunch of photos from Polagram. Here's some of my favorites.

The left one is my sister sleeping and her cat Love, to the right is me and my parents dog Annie.

These two are from early morning walks home from parties, one in the summer and one in winter, walking on the frozen river in Stockholm.

These are from Köjafestivalen which me and a couple of friends organized for two years.

Here's two pictures from two different masquerades, one with an animal theme and the other with a Kawaii theme.

This toilet picture (which says Game of Thrones) is actually taken in Brixton, but the right one is when me and my friend Edvin adopted the large moose head which still hangs on the wall in my old house in Stockholm.

Here's two pictures from Stockholms best nightclub Karbon.

This is our family photos – me, Peter and Peters cat Techno.

To the left is Peter dressed as an astronaut for another masquerade, and to the right is me deejaying in turquoise hair (!).

A couple of weeks ago I took some pictures of Peter in Brockwell Park for his new solo project. This is two of the pictures he decided not to use.

Treasure hunting • Vinyls, marble & fur

A while ago me and my boyfriend bought vinyl record players from Gumtree and my boyfriend's spent all his money on vinyls ever since. The other day he commented on my small collection of records (three records) like it's some kind of competition, but last week I found these ones for £1 each! From Brick Lane Vintage Market. <3 90's.

Since we're leaving Brixton I'm actually getting some things here that I've been meaning to get for a while, like this marble mortar for £6. We've been having thyme oil and pesto almost every day the last couple of days. From the household utensil shop just outside Brixton Village.

Last but not least this turquoise fake fur that I got at work for £10! Almost (not really) longing for fall now. From Beyond Retro.
