Happy New Year!

2015 has been a good year, maybe not my most exciting year so far but a nice one for sure. I do have a feeling 2016 will be a even greater one though and how could it not when the first month will hold both my 30th birthday party and a two weeks trip to Cambodia?

Tonight I'm going to celebrate the new year with P and some friends. First off is a dinner, last minute changed to our place, and then a big house party in the south of London. Happy new year!

2015: October, November and December

October was full of parties apparently? And full of my ceramics course. Apart from that nothing much happened. But parties and ceramics are all you need to make a good month if you ask me.

In November I was so sad that my ceramics course had ended I decided to start painting and even set up my own little studio space at home. Other then that P:s mum and brother visited us for a cold and windy weekend. Plus Hackney Attic celebrated 6 months!

Already December and very soon 2016! I can't believe how fast this year has passed, guess I really am getting old. In December me and P visited Warner Bros Studio's Harry Potter tour and I made a quick visit to Sweden just before P:s birthday and Christmas, which we spent at home in Hackney doing nothing but eating, sleeping and prevent Lola from tearing down the Christmas tree.

2015: August and September

August was probably the best month of the year cause it was summer and I was off work. Me and P spent half of the month in Sweden, traveling around to see friends and family. We started off in Stockholm where we stayed with our friends in the house on Stora Essingen, having bbqs and swims. We also met up with P:s family. Then we went to Gothenburg where we stayed with my sister and then parents, eating a lot and going for day trips by car and boat. Back in London summer continued and we had breakfast on the roof. Plus we took care of Lola for the very first time. Look how tiny she was!

September was back to the everyday routine, back to school and work. One day we took Lola to Hampstead Heath but it started pouring, hence P had to carry her inside his jacket cause she was so miserable. We also had dinner at Maeve's and a lot of different visitors like my friend Per, our friends Juan and Amanda and my sister and mum.

2015: May, June and July

I started this blog on May 29th so I didn’t have time to do that much blogging in May but I did post some photos from our trip to Cannes, a post about my favorite London spot (Hampstead Heath) and made and ate a really nice Mushroom burger.

In June we moved in to the Hackney flat, I bought a tattoo machine and Peter had his very first live gig, but not before we had tacos one last time in our old flat in Brixton. I also did my first monthly playlist, but I spent most of the time bargain hunting and decorating our new baby: the Hackney attic.

Look at the tree outside our kitchen window at this picture from July! At the moment it’s just a grey skeleton of branches. Over all July was the month of summer. I was in Berlin to visit my friend Hannah and at the end of the month me and P went to Sweden for a two week vacay. We also tore out the old carpet in the kitchen and had pad thai for dinner.

2015: 100 tracks, 7 hours and 9 minutes of music

I've put all my monthly playlists from June to December (plus some extra songs) in one which I call YEARBOOK 2015. This playlist is all you need in December (except for maybe this one once in a while). Guaranteed Christmas song free and full of Swedish hiphop, weird electronic stuff and an occasional hit list-track. Hope you enjoy!

2015: Favorite photos

I've always found choosing the best amongst all the pictures you take very difficult so I thought I was going to practice that. Here's some of my favorites from 2015 starting with a house with a jungle window and Peter in Brockwell park.

Lola when she was a tiny sleepy puppy in bed. Well, she still is but she's grown a lot.

Peter in camouflage at the V&A and pink hair.

When Emma was visiting and we spontaneously bought a tattoo machine and I learned how to use it on her feet.

A tree in Hampstead Heath and turquoise fake fur.

Liverpool street by bus a cold November morning.

And the last two, from our vacay in Sweden this summer, and Tjolöholms slott.

Which one is your favorite?

2015: Best of breakfasts

Time to start sum up 2015 and first out is best of breakfasts! Poached egg on brioche, soft boiled egg and smoked tofu and cheese toast, chia pudding and avocado toast.

Breakfasts alone doesn't have to be bad. Smoothie, tea and avocado toast, yoghurt and toasts with Swedish cheese and cucumber.

Bagels with fried eggs and tomatoes and last nights dinner topped with a fried egg and rye bread with hummus.

The breakfast winners of 2015! Rooftop picnic breakfast with scrambled eggs and very slow Saturday breakfast with a bit of everything.
