Havana Blues

Silk nightgown, vintage | Day & Night Serum, No7 | Citrus Hand Cream, Jurlique | Havana Blues Body Mist, & Other Stories | Notebook, COS | Bowl, made by me

Today I found the fragrance I've been looking for all my life and I'm not even joking. Last couple of years I've been getting more and more sensitive to different smells (maybe since I stopped smoking on a regular basis?) and therefor I find most perfumes too heavy. Add to that that I've always liked mens perfumes better then the sweet, fruity ones on the womens shelves. The Havana Blues Body Mist from & Other Stories smells of "Dry tobacco leaves withering among beloved jasmine and ripe lemon" and is simply perfect. P:s first reaction was "I can use this" so I guess I either have to hide it or start stocking up on them.

2015: Best bargains

Here's my greatest vintage finds of the year. The Jackson Pollock silk scarf, the leather coat and the marble egg cups.

My Superstars, my black leather pants and the coffee table. Every item for under £20!

My best vintage finds pt 1: The Superstars

I thought of starting a new series here, one where I show you my favorite vintage bargains. How about that?

First off are these classic black Adidas Superstars which were in perfect condition when I found them and still has a lot more to give. They're warm enough to wear even in the winter, the London winter that is, and "minimal" enough to wear a bit dressed up if you're not a fan of heels.

Many people might find finding vintage or second hand shoes hard and yes, it can be, but if you know where to look and have a bit of luck it's definitely not impossible. All the hard work pays off when you find the perfect pair for less then a third of the price it would cost to buy them new – and it's kinder to the environment.

Road trip pt 1: Flea market

On our second day in Gothenburg me, Peter and my sister (who's driving) did a little road trip.

First stop was a couple of flea markets. This one was amazing.

We bought some old vinyls for less then a pound each. And some other great stuff that I'll show you later.

I got a Polka lollipop!

Flower mix

These are my latest bargains, a (very crinkled) kimono and a swimsuit. All these colors and patterns are making me a bit nervous, but I'm trying to start wearing things that aren't just black or grey. Both from Beyond Retro.

Treasure hunting • Vinyls, marble & fur

A while ago me and my boyfriend bought vinyl record players from Gumtree and my boyfriend's spent all his money on vinyls ever since. The other day he commented on my small collection of records (three records) like it's some kind of competition, but last week I found these ones for £1 each! From Brick Lane Vintage Market. <3 90's.

Since we're leaving Brixton I'm actually getting some things here that I've been meaning to get for a while, like this marble mortar for £6. We've been having thyme oil and pesto almost every day the last couple of days. From the household utensil shop just outside Brixton Village.

Last but not least this turquoise fake fur that I got at work for £10! Almost (not really) longing for fall now. From Beyond Retro.
